How... creative by LissyFishy How... creative by LissyFishy
For ~Anti-Nejiten's birthday.

I see this happening at conventions
ALL THE TIME.

Please people, dress appropriately at a convention--
especially if you look like said weeaboo above.

Hope you had a laugh, and happy birthday Jess!

Thanks for faves and comments

This is actually the main reason why Neji died in Naruto (Just Kidding)

This is so true... And it repels me to go to convention again

Well, I mean there are good and bad cosplays out there.
I just get really uncomfortable when people flaunt so much
where they could get cited for public indecency.

Yeah honestly, it's a convention, not a beach

I mean, it's okay to show skin once in a while,
but one should be mindful of children present and state laws regarding indecency.

My personal rules regarding this:

1.dont show what you're uncomfortable with people staring at
2. If you're going to show one part (cleavage midriff, etc) you should cover everything else

Just my opinions

Hehe I don't like showing much skin, but if others do, sure why not.
It's when someone is practically naked that I get very uncomfortable.

Only she was skinnier.
But unfortunately, she was a friend of a friend so I WAS AROUND HER THE ENTIRE TIME.
It was horrible.

I think with people like this it's a mixture of very low self esteem that comes with narcissism and warped reality (the delusion like you said). I'm actually making a documentary about weeaboos at anime expo this summer.

Thanks for your rofl!

wait, ....... this is alittle unfair i think.
Some people can't be thin or 'in shape' no matter how hard they try but really love a character. cosplay is about dressing as a character you love and using your cosplay to show your love for it. When did everyone get so Vain, shallow and hurtful about it? Not everyone is a super model. I got told by someone i was too pale to cosplay as a certain character, that was just racist! i think this is just discrimination.
Are you saying that just because you don't want to look at them that they shouldn't do it?
are you saying they should be selfless so you can be selfish? you'd feel really hurt if someone told you "don't cosplay the character you adore because i don't think it'll suit you and i don't want to see it"
if you love a cosplay do it!!! if you don't wanna look at something then DON'T, its not difficult. Cosplayers get enough insults from everyone else, Why have we started doing it to eachother!!!

don't mean to cause an arguemnt but not everyone can be thin and almost EVERY anime character is. what are larger people supposed to do?

You're the one making the assumption that I was talking about weight.

I was making a statement about how many take a character's design
and completely destroy it by making it a "sexy" version or a "cat" version.
That sort of thing lacks complete creativity and is, in my opinion,
attention whoring. I HATE when people make something more revealing because they are lazy and provocative.

If you notice, most people who are weeaboos
have eating disorders. They are either emaciated or
obese. This stems from control issues that were caused by
both unhealthy familial relations and brain chemistry imbalances.
I chose to make this character overweight because it
added a greater impact when paired with the whorish costume.

I have many overweight friends who cosplay
and they understand the importance of modesty in public.
ALL people should dress appropriately at conventions.
Please read the artist comments before assuming my intentions.

I understand where you're coming from. It just irks me when others
think I'm going somewhere with something when I'm not :XD:;;

I'm too thin to go as most shounen anime characters that I love, but rather than complaining you know what I do? I work out, because I want to resemble my character as much as possible.
And being told you're too pale and don't resemble a character is not racist... That is just a common misunderstanding that has nothing to do with racism at all.
One of my best friends is a little overweight but you know what? He knows it, so he goes out jogging all the time because he wants to thin down so he can actually look awesome in cosplay. I think if anything it should act as motivation that leads to a healthier life style... Not an insult.

That's why I have a self imposed rule on cosplays.
Only cosplay someone you have a similar body type to.
It saves a LOT of people mental scars...like when I saw the enormous Winry cosplayer...*shudders and reaches for the Brain Bleach*
This last year at Ohayocon, I snuck into a panel so I could have a seat for the next panel taking place in that room. One girl asked someone on the panel:
"What do you think about XL girls doing cosplays?" said girl was XXXL at minimum. The panelist replied
"You have to remember the Japanese diet doesn't make it quite as easy to be fat, so they design all their characters as skinny and maybe a fat person for comic relief. If you want to cosplay someone who isn't your size, do it anyway.^^"
I, upon hearing this, began banging my head on the wall of my hiding spot, and got caught by security.
I'm sorry, I DISLIKE seeing a fat girl cosplaying a supposedly skinny character and having her flab hang out as much as I hate seeing a male cosplayer try to do the same thing for a very fit male character. I'm fine with someone being comfortable with their bodies, that's all fine and dandy, but you have to remember that NOT EVERYONE ELSE MAY BE COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR BODY.
If the character has a six pack, and you have a keg, DON'T GO AS THEM! the exception to the body type rule is when an "in shape" girl tries to cosplay as a girl who has a large cup size than them. not everyone can be like :iconyayacosplay: and have large breasts. I've seen a Nami (from One Piece) cosplayer [link] Who does an excellent cosplay despite not having Nami's absurdly large breasts.(which to be honest, I don't expect anyone to have)
It'd be like a guy trying to cosplay Armstrong form FMA after only going to the gym for a year. Yeah, you can come close, but there are some things ya just can't pull off without a lot of work (in the case of women, padding a bra or implants). I know a cosplayer (not personally) here on DA who works out a LOT to stay in shape for his cosplays. :iconkenshiro-fdp:
Then there are other cosplayers who aren't in the ripped shape the character is portrayed such as Luffy (again, from One Piece), who is often cosplayed by girls, like this person shows here, [link] Wrong gender but DAMN that looks realistic for the character (in my opinion). and Luffy is portrayed with a six pack in series. I can't see one there, or and signs of the type of muscle Luffy has, but I'm still convinced it's Luffy.
Sorry for turning my comment into a rant. ^^'

I only have these sentiments for exposing costumes, though.
I hardly want to see IN SHAPE girls cosplay revealing things,
but obese people?.... nawwww.
